APR BBC

Armée Patriotique Rwandaise Basketball Club, commonly known simply as APR, is a Rwandan basketball club based in Kigali. Owned and funded by the Ministry of Defence of Rwanda, the team plays in the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) and in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) for the 2024 season. It is the most decorated team in the country, as APR has won 14 national championships.

In 2008, APR became the first team in league history to finish the regular season unbeaten. After its thirtheenth championship in 2009, APR had a 13-year long drought before winning another title in 2023.

APR BBC je profesionálny basketbalový tím z Kigali, hlavného mesta Rwandy. Je súčasťou športového klubu Armée Patriotique Rwandaise (APR) a svoje domáce zápasy hrá v Sále arény Amahoro.

APR BBC je jedným z najúspešnejších basketbalových tímov vo Rwandskom národnom basketbalovom turnaji, ktorý vyhral 10 titulov. Reprezentoval tiež Rwandu na kontinentálnych turnajoch, ako je Africká liga majstrov v basketbale a Pohár FIBA Africa Winners.

Tím je známy svojou rýchlou a atletickou hrou a má niekoľko talentovaných hráčov, vrátane Ruanda medzinárodných hráčov ako Jean-Claude Gasana a Aristide Mugabe. APR BBC je tiež známy svojou silnou podporou domácich fanúšikov a je považovaný za jeden z najsledovanejších basketbalových tímov v Rwande.
