Wolkite City F.C. (Amharic: ወልቂጤ ከተማ, Wolkite Ketema) is a professional football club based in Wolkite, Ethiopia. They play in the Ethiopian Premier League, the top division of football in Ethiopia.

History

Wolkite Ketema was founded in 2010. The club last played in the second division, Ethiopian Higher League, during the 2018–2019 season. That season Wolkite earned a promotion to the Ethiopian Premier League by finishing top of their respective group. To strengthen their team for their first season in the top flight, they signed a Ghanaian international Kweku Andoh, who most recently played for Ethiopian champions Mekelle 70 Enderta.

Wolkite officially signed a two-year kit deal with Singapore-based apparel maker Mafro Sports in September 2019.

Futbalový klub Wolkite City FC je etiópsky futbalový klub so sídlom vo Wolkite. Klub bol založený v roku 2007 a v súčasnosti hrá v etiópskej Premier League, najvyššej futbalovej lige v krajine. Domovským štadiónom klubu je štadión Wolkite City Stadium s kapacitou 15 000 miest.

Wolkite City FC je jedným z najúspešnejších klubov v etiópskom futbale v posledných rokoch. Klub vyhral etiópsku Premier League trikrát, v rokoch 2016, 2018 a 2020, a etiópsky pohár raz, v roku 2019. Klub sa tiež zúčastnil afrických súťaží klubov, ako je Konfederáciou afrického futbalu (CAF) Liga majstrov a Konfederácia afrického futbalu (CAF) Confederation Cup.

Súčasným trénerom klubu je éthiopský tréner Getu Gelete. Medzi najznámejších hráčov klubu patria etiópski reprezentanti Getaneh Kebede, Amanuel Gebremichael a Saladin Said.
